They start off so small, and then before you know it, the training wheels come off, and they are riding their little tricycles all over town!
Okay, okay, so perhaps this is an exaggeration. You didn’t exactly start off without any knowledge, and we are only four sections in. Still, we are proud of you for sticking with it, and for coming this far.
Most of what we have discussed up to this point has been foundational. Meaning that it was laying the groundwork for the rest of the course. You can’t build a house, until you have a foundation! You can’t build your personal framework for interacting with others online without a similar foundation!
Having an open mind, being reflective, striving to be intellectually honest, exhibiting compassion towards others, these are all foundational to what is coming next. Which is looking at the ins and outs of how we interact online.
On the next few screens we will be exploring a variety of scenarios that are common on social media. We encourage you to practice the skills that we have already studied as you go through these scenarios. ie, maintain an open-mind, be reflective, be intellectually honest, etc, etc…
It’s time to dig in to the meat and bones of how we interact with others online! LET’S GO PEOPLE!
